The adulterated fourth pillar of Indian democracy

Media plays a large role in shaping ones opinion but in India the big media enterprises are run by various private companies which in turn use the media to shape  public opinion in their favor.
Sadly, the “fourth pillar of Indian democracy” which needs to show the unbiased facts to the people and let them make their own view point on the topic, tries to bend the news in a way that influences people to interpret what these news agencies want them to.You can always see some or the other news channel supporting a single political party. For example, on numerous occasions Zee News can be seen taking the side of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Aaj Tak speaking against them.
There is a serious crisis of responsibility amongst Indian media. The Indian media needs to understand its responsibilities and act accordingly.
Recently, when all other news channels telecasted the irresponsive statements of some politicians on Yakub Memon case, it was only the DD News channel which refused to telecast any political reaction on it and instead shared the  general public view  on it.
What I’m trying to say is that it’s time we people don’t let media shape our opinions so that we can be saved in future from committing the sort mistakes what we committed in the previous Delhi elections.
