Ebola, a disease so negligible yet comes out with a bang
within a span of one year. What seem to be the possibilities also seem to
incomprehensible. What could have possibly caused the death of a 6 year old
and consequently the death of so many people. Now if I had to be a hard-core
superstitious person, I might as well call it some kind of black magic gone
wrong. A realist might call it a typical situation of poverty stricken country
going through a third world problem like every other. Such as that of “Chicken
flu” or rather “Bird flu” in India. Other skeptics also might boldly state that
these are certain tactics to gain political attention or attention of
supranational organisations. Yet there may be a few who say that when there are
reasons unknown the possibility of the outbreak could be numerous.
According to my understanding Ebola is a communicable
disease spread from people handling or butchering animals and at the same time
this “deathly” disease germinated in the forests of West Africa. Does this mean
that there are animals being hunted down in the forests of West Africa? Because
if so then that is also a matter of grave concern as PETA haven’t sure been
looking into better treatment of animals on a larger whole then.
On the contrary, if we see how Indian doctors have been
shirking off their responsibilities on a very professional note just because of
the fear of the epidemic, it would be an utter shame. If the whole world needs
to be taking precautions, then including the Indian subcontinent at the very
moment, then on a personal note people dying definitely need help.
There are countries like the United States of America, who
think that “vaccines” are the only way of keeping the disease or rather
epidemic out of the state perimeters, but a security guard at the J.F.K Airport
won’t be able to figure out who might be carrying that disease just by looking
at the people walking by.
This epidemic will also have a solution to it once countries
get together to find the route cause to it. Like small pox in the 1800’s this
might also be one of those instances where the another country might have
infected one area in a forest in West Africa with air borne means. That might
seem to be a very bold statement to be made, but then again we are living in
such a century where technological advancements are no less at “creating” a
disease and at the same time finding methods to eradicate them as well.
